Persons, corporations or trade unions planning to spend money between May 2, 2022 and October 24, 2022 on advertisements or other materials that support, promote or oppose a candidate in the municipal election must register as a third party advertiser with the Town Clerk.
The registration period for a third party advertiser for the next municipal general election will be May 2 to October 21, 2022. To register as a Third Party Advertiser in the 2022 Town of Newmarket Municipal Election, interested parties must book an appointment with Elections Staff. Meetings can take place virtually or in-person. Book an appointment by calling (905) 953-5300 ext. 2210 or sending an email to: elections@newmarket.ca.

2018 Municipal Election - Archived Reports
On March 27, 2017, Newmarket Council approved the use of internet and telephone voting for the 2018 Municipal Election. Residents were able to cast their vote online or by telephone anytime, anywhere using an internet connected computer or mobile device, or by touch-tone telephone from 10 a.m. on October 13 to 8 p.m. on October 22.
