Help is available to every voter who wants it

Voter Assistance Centres

When it comes time to vote if you do not have access to an internet-connected computer, tablet or smartphone, or you require assistance to vote, please visit one of the following Voter Assistance Centres. Remember to bring the Voter Instruction Letter that was mailed to you. If you don’t have a Voter Instruction Letter at voting time, please bring identification that includes your name and address.  See acceptable documents for voter identification.

Technology Centres

A ‘Vote Pod’ equipped with an internet-connected computer is available at the Municipal Offices during the 10 day voting period, October 17 – 26, for any eligible voter who needs access to a device to cast their ballot.

Unstaffed computer terminals are also available for voters to cast their ballots during the 10-day voting period October 17 – 26 at the Newmarket Public Library during regular business hours, and at the Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

At-Home Voter Assistance

The Election Street Team will visit the homes of voters who require at-home voting assistance to help them cast their ballot.  Voters who require this service can call the Elections Office at 905-953-5152 and book an appointment with a member of the Elections Team. This service will be offered during the 10-day voting period, from Saturday, October 17 to Monday, October 26.

Please Note:  Appointments for at-home assistance can be made until 7:30 pm on October 26th

On-Site Voter Assistance *Dates and locations to be updated for 2026*

Election staff will be at the following special voting locations during the 10 voting days. The exact location of Election Staff within the facility is subject to change. Check here for any updates. Candidates and their teams wishing to visit these locations are required to follow health, safety, and campaigning protocols set by each location.

These locations are intended only for residents who are living in the facilities and are not for the general public.
