Platform:
As a parent with kids in 3 levels of education, I have gained experience and courage. I always advocate for safety, smaller class sizes, mental health resources, special education supports, equity, social justice, and increased funding for arts and co-op. As a Trustee, I will serve with integrity, empathy, passion and compassion. I will adhere to the principles of transparency and accountability, amplify student voice, and actively engage parents and educators in collaborative discussions.
Biography
M.A. level Psychometrist. 4 kids total, 3 kids in YRDSB. Volunteer/Leadership: Parent Council (12 years), Newmarket Parent Network (10 years), Aurora Youth Soccer Club House League Convenor (5 years) and VP (2 years), and York Communities for Public Education Co-Chair (2 years).
